Show Info

Overview

A garden is never just a garden! It’s petals and pollinators, herbs and harvests
but also hidden worlds, quiet transformations, and stories unfolding just beneath the surface. Magpie Art Center invites artists to explore botanicals and all things found within the garden—both seen and unseen.

We welcome work inspired by:

  • Flowers, herbs, vegetables, and plant life
  • Pollinators, birds, insects, and wildlife
  • Seeds, soil, roots, and cycles of growth
  • Garden tools, rituals, and human connection to tending the land
  • The whimsical, surreal, or secret worlds that may exist within a garden

This exhibition celebrates both the beauty of botanicals and the deeper, often overlooked life of gardens—from delicate blossoms to wild overgrowth, from nourishment to decay
and renewal.

All mediums are welcome, including painting, ceramics, fiber, mixed media, photography, and sculpture.

Let your work capture the richness of the garden—whether literal, symbolic, or imagined.
